A New Year, A Fresh Perspective

I’m so excited to be back and to share a little behind-the-scenes look at three things I’m doing differently in 2026 and—most importantly—why I’m making these changes. My hope is that you’ll leave this episode feeling inspired, with some juicy ideas for your own business.

Let’s get into the details of what’s changing for me this year…

1. I’m Getting Louder, More Prolific, and Even More Focused

This might sound like a simple resolution to just “show up more,” but it runs much deeper. In the past, whenever I felt inspired to be more vocal in my business, it usually came from wanting to speak up against the more problematic sides of the business world, or to offer an alternative to what I wasn’t happy with in the industry. I wanted to disrupt, to put more money and financial power into the hands of women and marginalised people, and to challenge the narrow definition of who gets to be a successful CEO.

Those intentions are still here—but in 2026, things feel different. The energy has shifted. I’m now far more focused on speaking directly to YOU, the individual. I want to help tens of thousands of people build more economic wealth, find and fill the tiny but important gaps in their business strategy, and make small shifts that lead to big results. I’m fired up about helping you leverage your energy and effort in your business—finding those key leverage points where just a little tweak delivers outsized results in your marketing, sales process, offers, or messaging.

Here’s why it’s personal:

In 2025, I saw so many people struggle with financial insecurity, especially when it came to making big life decisions, like leaving a partner they knew wasn’t right for them. The only thing holding them back? Finances. And I know others who want to make big, positive contributions in the world, but can’t, simply because they don’t have enough financial resourcing. The number one thing stopping so many people from living the life they desire is money.

I have the privilege of seeing exactly what’s needed—I’ve got the business qualifications, the experience (since the early 2000s in other people’s businesses, and in my own since 2013), and the resourcing to help. So in 2026, I’m determined to use that privilege for good. I’ll be louder and more visible, showing up even more consistently, with a focus on helping as many people as possible move into greater financial independence and stability.

Part of my fire also comes from what’s been happening in our industry due to recent economic contraction—recessions, job losses, rising cost of living. The people most affected are often working-class, and many are women and marginalised folks. Entrepreneurship is one of the best vehicles for creating new financial opportunities, and it’s something I can help with through my platform and my audience.

But there’s something else that motivates me:

I want to make sure you don’t fall for all the “get rich quick” nonsense. Mindset and energetic work have their place, but they can’t replace solid, practical business strategy. You can do all the mindset work in the world, but if you don’t know how to attract and convert clients, or fill your sales pipeline with the right leads, you’ll stay stuck. That’s why in 2026, I’ll be talking a lot about core business strategies—proven foundations you can actually rely on, instead of hoping a viral TikTok is going to change your world (spoiler: it rarely does).

In the past, I might have pulled my punches a bit, maybe because I didn’t want to seem like I was bashing the mindset coaches out there. But the truth is, there’s a ton of predatory advice convincing people the only problem is their mindset, with no real practical strategy behind it. I want to change that. Expect more conversations from me about rock-solid niches, messaging, offers, client attraction, lead generation, and conversion tactics. That’s my zone of genius, and I’m finally leaning right in.

2. I’m Staying Home More (And Loving It!)

This one might surprise you—I’m making a conscious decision to stay home more in 2026. If you look at my last couple of years, you’d see a ton of travel. In the first four months after moving into our new home in 2025, we were only actually present for 21 nights. That’s not even a month at home in four months! When I looked at my hotel booking app, I realised we’d had four times as many hotel stays as the year before. And in 2024, I already felt like we weren’t at home enough.

So this year, I’m being really mindful about what we say yes to—especially with a big Europe trip planned for April and May. All the little local events, the spontaneous comedy shows or paint-and-sip classes…I realised I was filling up the calendar (maybe because I’d felt unsettled, or just because I could) rather than because it was what I actually wanted.

Instead, we’re rethinking our default “yes.” Things we’d do every single year, like the Formula One in Melbourne, aren’t automatic now. In 2025, we did F1 twice—Melbourne and Singapore—and it was amazing. But in 2026, we’re skipping Melbourne, and that actually feels really good.

We’re also spacing out our regular commitments.

Some annual events are moving to every second or third year, so we can look forward to them and have more home time. There’s still heaps in the calendar—workshops, retreats, conferences in Noosa and Kiama, family trips, and my usual netball sponsorship duties. But I’m much more conscious and selective about adding things in.

Importantly, this isn’t a restriction or about feeling ill or depleted. Quite the opposite: I have more energy than ever, and I could “do it all”… but I don’t need to. Instead, I want to enjoy and build more routine, soak up time in our beautiful home, laze by the pool, read, relax on our gorgeous new outdoor furniture, and really settle in for once. I’m excited to see how this extra space at home changes things, both for me and for my business (maybe… more podcasting time?).

3. I’m Getting Relentless About List Growth (Both Paid and Organic)

The third thing I’m doing really differently this year is going all-in on growing my email list—in a relentless, focused way. In 2025, I didn’t do a great job of it, to be honest. I had technical headaches with Meta (Facebook) ads not working for my first launch, got caught up with needing more tech help, and then, because I was always travelling, I couldn’t sort things out quickly. I didn’t have the support I needed, and it was very easy to just let list-building slide.

All of that’s changing for 2026. Late last year, I got help cleaning up the tech issues on my ads, and now I have a new team member whose main role is to partner with me on list-building and handle all the split testing. My organic list-growth strategies are already up and running. My content and planning are way more ahead than usual.

This feels like having real, stable foundations under my feet.

I’m not just relying on Meta ads anymore, though they’ll still be my core paid strategy. I’ll also be testing other paid platforms—Google Ads, LinkedIn ads, and even exploring newer options like AI engine optimisation. Search engine optimisation (SEO) is still huge, with Google and YouTube remaining the main places people look for information. But I’ll check out how AI tools fit in as well, keeping one eye on the environmental impact and making sure I give time to what works.

List building isn’t just a numbers game for me. In the last year, I did two big cleanups of my email list, and realised that almost all the inactive accounts came from half-baked experiments that weren’t aligned, distracted me, or simply didn’t work. Now, instead of shrinking my list and dropping down a level (and paying less!), I’m focused on rebuilding—with the right people who want solid, strategic, reliable business advice, and who want to hear from me regularly.

So what does all this mean for you?

It means you’ll see me putting out more webinars, more new freebies, and even some refreshed versions of old favourites throughout 2026. I’m taking care to spread out my ambitions (so I don’t burn out!), but the energy is here and I’m finally creating in a way that feels really, really good.

As always, I want to hear from you—reply to my emails, tell me what resources or trainings would help you most, and I’ll make it happen. 2026 is about getting persistent, focused, and seriously strategic about list growth.

The Resources I’m Sharing to Kickstart Your Year

Because I want to make sure you have what you need to get focused and strategic this year, I’ve got two special resources for you:

1. My Productivity Bundle

You can grab the whole bundle at: tashcorbin.com/ppp

Why am I so fixated on productivity? Because for most people, the trick for 2026 isn’t to do more things, but to narrow your focus and redefine productivity around the results your actions actually create. Let’s get you doubling your results, not doubling your busywork!

2. Kickstart 2026

My first big event of the year, starting January 12th! Five days, two hours per day, with a mix of workshops and co-working so you actually get stuff done. This is my absolute favourite way to channel that fresh New Year energy into the kind of strategic action that will carry through your whole year.

Sign up at tashcorbin.com/kickstart and get access to the pre-event activities and our special Facebook group.

2026 Is the Year for Strategic Action

The number one message I’m hearing from all the experts—this is a Fire Horse year, a numerology one year, and it’s going to be fast-moving, action-oriented and full of momentum. The biggest risk? Getting scattered. That’s why focus, routine, and strategy will be more important than ever. Keep your attention on what moves the needle in your business, and say no to the rest!

So, to wrap up, here are my three big focuses in 2026:

  • I’m going to be louder, more present, and way more prolific—especially when it comes to sharing validated strategic marketing and sales advice.
  • I’m staying home, building new routines and focusing on what truly matters to me.
  • I’m getting relentless about email list growth—with both paid and organic strategies, so I can help you even more.

Thank you so much for joining me for this first episode of the year. Here’s to a focused, abundant, and joy-filled 2026!

Until next time, I cannot WAIT to see you SHINE.
