Fast money strategies? Totally my jam!
If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that I have a knack for making money quickly whenever needed—or just when I want to. There’s something thrilling about having a cheeky little $20,000 weekend! I love helping others generate those short-term cash injections and get strategic about how they do it as well. But before I get into my top 3 income strategies, there are a few foundational things in place that make these strategies super effective for me.
Foundations First
I’ve got solid foundations in my business. I completely understand my niche, how to message my work, and what offers to share. I create what I know people want, and I have a validated audience as well as validated offers.
Don’t worry, though! You don’t need everything to be perfect.
I had my first $11k day only about 18-20 months into my business journey, and I managed a $20k month just 6 months in. I didn’t have all of that perfected and nailed back then – but I was tenacious in my curiosity to figure it out.
The key is focusing on validating each aspect of your business. By selling my offers, testing my niche’s demand, and consistently sharing on social media and emails, I could quickly build these strong foundations. An additional part of my foundation right now is having an existing audience—five figures on my mailing list and 10,000 Facebook followers!
But again, these strategies worked even when I had just 500 people on my mailing list or 200 Facebook followers. Though, admittedly, the volume of things I had to sell back then was higher because of lower price points. Remember, stronger foundations make strategies easier to implement.
The Big 3: My Key Strategies for Quick Cash
Running Auctions
First, let’s talk auctions. These work like magic because I’m not the only seller. I give my clients an opportunity to access my platform. Auctions kicked off because of my little puppy, Munchkin. When I needed funds to move her from Bali to Australia—a whopping $10,000— so I had an idea to run an auction to raise the money quickly. I put up some VIP packages, a few spots on each program, and some special offers that weren’t normally available.
Powerfully, when I started sharing about the auction, lots of members of my community offered to donate items for me to sell, to raise money towards bringing Munchkin home. It was such a heart-warming experience. BUT… here’s the thing: We ended up with 74 people who each added something to the auction. And even though they allowed me to keep the proceeds of what they sold towards my fundraising for bringing Munchkin to Australia, there were BIG benefits for them as well.
It was a win-win!
People who didn’t win certain auction items, STILL followed those providers. They still purchased other products, some even purchasing the auction item at full price just a few weeks later. The people who donated still got brilliant business benefits! So of course, I knew I wanted to make this a part of my business strategy fairly regularly.
I’ve run auctions about 12 or 13 times since then, either live or silent auctions with bidding in the comments on Facebook. I try to offer super juicy stuff like 1-on-1 retreats, VIP days, and conference tickets. Because my items have a high average price, even selling a few can make a solid $25,000! Plus, it’s collaborative—everyone involved can tap into fresh audiences.
It’s a really fun strategy to bring in money fast AND help others to make some sales at the same time. We all benefit beautifully!
Webinar to promote Take Off
My second strategy for a short-term cash injection is to simply run a webinar and promote Take Off. It’s my core program that I have been offering the longest, it has a brilliant reputation, and a big portion of my audience intend to join at some point. The strong foundations come into play here as well—I’m not constantly selling it. I create urgency or offer unique incentives like special calls or projects, whenever I am launching it, which also encourages people to join if it’s the right time for them.
Promoting and running a webinar effectively pumps up my cash flow as the program investment is $2,495 AUD. Some pay upfront, and others opt for payment plans, boosting my recurring income, too.
Sometimes the simplest strategy is the best one. You might think you need to create something new to bring in a new influx of cash. But a lot of the time, your existing offers are the proven ones. Don’t write them off!
Special offers, sales and deals
Lastly, I run special deals and flash sales (just like #Tashmas!) Every December, I hold the 12 days of #Tashmas with a mix of free goodies and exclusive paid deals. Earlier this year, the 10 days of deals was born from a planning hiccup – I had scheduled to promote conference tickets after conference ticket sales had closed. Whoops!
But it led to something fun: 10 Days of Deals… which also uncovered another fun and effective strategy that worked well for me: Ascending offers. High-value items with prices starting low (one was as low as $100 in the 10 Days of Deals) and increasing after each purchase. This created amazing buzz and the posts had soooo many comments – it was great for my FB Algorithm as well.
Let’s do it for #Tashmas!
For today’s #Tashmas gift, I am offering my VIP virtual retreat days – and the bidding starts at over 80% off.
